Jenna Swanson, owner and operator of Tropic Tan started her business in 2010. She had not always planned to own her own tanning salon. In fact, she received a degree in Physical Therapy and Cosmetology prior to the tanning business venture. During her time in college she always knew she wanted to eventually own her own business. Jenna enjoyed tanning at a local business here in Mt. Carmel during that time. When the business closed Jenna had the idea to open her own tanning salon.

Jenna is incredibly determined and once she made up her mind that she could keep the tanning industry alive in Mt. Carmel she began her business plan. Jenna began the search for her perfect spot, once she found it the remodeling began. With a few bumps in the road and a lot of support from friends and family Tropic Tan was born. In 2020, they made the decision to move to a new location that would offer even more convenience to their customers.

Jenna is a now a licensed professional with the upmost regard for the safety of her clients. Tropic tan follows all recommendations and guidelines for safe tanning. They comply with state regulations, keeping a strong emphasis on the cleanliness and sanitation of their facility. In fact, Tropic Tan has received recognition for being one of the top salons rated for cleanliness in the Tri-State.
